When you’re not fighting for your life inside corrupted arena rooms, you’re standing in the ODDCORE Theme Park & Resort — the hub world that ties everything together. Most runners sprint through it to start their next run. That’s a mistake.

The Ersatz Redemption Arcade

The hub is built around an arcade — not a clean, corporate arcade. An ersatz one. Think county fair meets abandoned mall meets fever dream. The machines work. Mostly. The prizes are real. Kind of.

Coin Pusher

Tokens earned from surviving runs can be fed into the coin pusher. The physics are surprisingly satisfying. Items tumble off the edge. Some of them are useful. Some of them are just shiny. Both outcomes feel earned.

Slot Machine

Spend tokens on pulls. The slot machine’s payout table is… opaque. In keeping with the ODDCORE aesthetic, the machine does what it wants. Sometimes that’s generous. Sometimes it isn’t. The risk/reward loop from the main game extends into the hub, because of course it does.

Minigames

Additional arcade minigames are scattered through the hub. They’re small, self-contained, and exist mostly to cleanse the palate between runs. Or to procrastinate before the next one. We don’t judge.

Hidden Crannies

The hub is not as straightforward as it first appears. Walls that look solid aren’t always. Corners that seem empty sometimes aren’t. The theme park was designed with exploration in mind — the kind of exploration where you bump into everything and occasionally fall through a floor on purpose.

Unlockable play spaces are tucked away in places that reward curiosity and stubbornness in equal measure. Some require specific achievements. Others just require you to look up, or down, or sideways at the right moment.

Between-Run Progression

The hub isn’t just a lobby — it’s where your meta-progression lives. Tokens, collectibles, and unlockables all flow through here. The arcade machines aren’t just decoration; they’re part of the loop.

Cassettes and stickers are out there to find, for the completionists. The hub rewards runners who treat it as more than a loading screen with a fancy coat of paint.

The Vibe

The hub exists in a perpetual state of “something is slightly wrong here.” The lights are a little too bright. The music is a little too cheerful. Timmee is a little too friendly. It’s a theme park built by something that studied theme parks from a distance and got most of the details right, but not all of them.

That’s intentional. The hub is a breather, not a safe space. The corruption bleeds through everywhere, even here. Especially here.
